Terms of service

These terms cover your use of AcePSAC. By creating an account you agree to them. They are written plainly on purpose: a parent should be able to read them in a few minutes.

What AcePSAC is

An independent revision aid for the PSAC. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or produced by the Mauritius Institute of Education, the Mauritius Examinations Syndicate or the Ministry of Education. The questions are written by us to follow the national curriculum and the MES assessment format; they are not past papers, and no question here will appear in a real PSAC paper.

Your account

• One account per pupil. Give a real name and an email address you can read.

• Keep your password to yourself. Tell us if you think somebody else has it.

• If you are under 16, ask a parent or guardian before creating an account.

• We may suspend an account that is shared, resold, or used to copy questions out of the app.

What is free, and what is not

Every account can practise the free sample — the first unit of each subject, at both grades, multiple choice — for as long as it likes. Everything else needs a subscription.

A subscription needs two things: a confirmed email address, and an administrator switching access on with an end date. Payment is arranged with us directly; nothing renews by itself, and no card details are held by this app.

Refunds

If a subscription was switched on by mistake, or the app was unusable for a substantial part of the period you paid for, write to us and we will refund the unused part. We do not refund a subscription simply because it went unused.

Marking and scores

Practice papers are marked automatically. Short answers are matched against a list of accepted responses, so an unusually worded correct answer may occasionally be marked wrong. Scores in AcePSAC are practice scores. They are not official results and using AcePSAC does not guarantee any particular result in the PSAC.

The questions belong to us

The questions, explanations, diagrams and the app itself are ours. Use them to revise. Do not copy them out, republish them, sell them, or feed them to another service.

Interruptions

We try to keep AcePSAC available, but it may go down for maintenance or for reasons outside our control. If it is unavailable for a long stretch, tell us and we will extend affected subscriptions.

Ending it

You can ask us to close your account at any time. We may close an account that breaks these terms; if we do, we refund the unused part of a paid subscription unless the account was closed for copying or reselling the questions.

Changes

If we change these terms we will change the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use AcePSAC after that means you accept the new version.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of Mauritius.
